Vietti
Located in the heart of the Langhe hills, at the top of the village of Castiglione Falletto, the Vietti wine cellar was founded in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti. The estate has gradually grown over the course of time, and today the vineyards include some of the most highly prized terroirs within the Barolo winegrowing area.
Vietti Roero Arneis DOC 2017
Brilliant straw-yellow colour. Refined, quite pronounced, fresh nose with aromatical notes of ripe yellow fruit (melon), citrus, floral and mineral nuances, with a hint of almond. Medium-bodied on the palate, is has good intensity and crisp acidity. Well-balanced, elegant, with good complexity and a lingering aftertaste with a distinct hint of salinity.
Vietti Barbera D’Alba DOC 2016 Tre Vigne
Ruby red colour with ripe red cherry and vanilla aromas. Notes of violets and rounder body compared to Barbera d’Asti Tre Vigne. On the palate, it shows bright acidity, sweet tannins with balanced integration of oak. Good complexity and a lingering cherry finish.
Vietti Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2015 Perbacco
Medium deep ruby color. Quite intense and generous fruity nose (red berries) along with floral and spicy notes, a hint of menthol and hard candy. On the pallet medium bodied, showing notable intensity while retaining an essentially mid-weight style. Strong, intense and quite powerful when young, evolving to a complex and elegant, very well balanced wine with ageing. The tannins are harmoniously integrated in the fruit structure of the wine. Long lasting aftertaste with good freshness.
Vietti Barolo DOC 2014 Castiglione
Medium-intense ruby red colour. On the nose explosive, elegant, charming and immediate. Aromas of prunes, red and black ripe cherry, blackberry, rose petals and tobacco. On the palate, it is classic, quite rich and powerful, with notes of alpine herbs and leather on its finish. The tannins are very well integrated in the fruit structure of the wine.
Vietti Barbaresco DOC 2014 Masseria
Ruby-red colour, with light garnet hues. Rich, powerful concentrated nose with hints of ripe fruit. Fresh and bodied on the palate. Notes of red and black fruits (strawberry, blueberry and blackberry). Well-integrated ripe soft and silky tannins. Particular almond note on the finish. It shows an overall incredible finesse and excellent balance.
Vietti Cascinetta Moscato D’Asti DOCG
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. Slight sparkling, this Moscato d’Asti has an intense aroma of ripe yellow fruit (peaches, apricots and pears), floral notes (rose petals) and refined exotic spices (freshly cut ginger). On the palate, it shows a delicate, well-balanced sweetness in combination with a refined sparkle and well-balanced acidity, good complexity and a fresh, persistent fruity aftertaste (fresh apricots).
