Citadelle
begins in 1980 but the original recipe was developed around 1771 in Dunkirk by order of Louis XVI. The distillery is now located in the Cognac area embodying Alexander Gabriel’s vision for the distillation of a French gin with the recipe and method of Citadelle Gin.
Citadelle Original
Citadelle Original Gin, achieves the perfect balance between intensity and finesse, and is distinguished for the intense taste of Gin’s main ingredient, which is Juniper. It the only gin made by direct ignition within Charentais copper still, used for making Cognac. 19 herbs and aromas ensure its floral complexity. Ideal for superb gin & tonic.
Citadelle No Mistake Old Tom
Citadelle No Mistake is an Old Tom Gin, at 46% ABV, which is distilled in Charentail still, with direct inginition. Its raw material consists of French cereals. Then through ‘Progressive Infusion’ method, 22 herbs are added, 19 of which can be found at Citadelle Original, as well as yuzu, wild wormwood and corn. Toasted sugar is then added on. The mixture is left to age in barrels for about 4 months to homogenize, with the ultimate goal of becoming an ideal blend.
Citadelle Extremes No.4 Sergeant Pepper
Created in 2021, Citadelle Extreme No.4 Sergent Pepper is a tribute to the most intense and diverse spice of all: pepper. Built around two rare varieties whose bold aromas electrify Citadelle’s range of spices, Sergent Pepper combines the freshness of Sansho berries with the wild noted of the rarest pepper in the world: White Bird pepper from Cambodia.
